Telehealth

To Our Valued Simons Physical Therapy Patients

We have been closely watching the ongoing developments with the COVID-19 pandemic around the world and at home in Tucson. We have been following CDC and WHO recommendations to determine risk level for in-clinic treatment, in support of your health, the staff's health, the burden on the healthcare system, and the public's health as well.

SPT has been working to adapt our practice by adding telehealth to our offered services. Our licensing board, and national PT organizations are encouraging us to use telehealth. This is a new approach and some may initially feel hesitant, but we are finding it useful and effective for many patients. While we cannot provide hands-on therapy, we can provide a multitude of beneficial interventions to support your rehabilitation and well-being.

This includes:
  • Movement screening and training

  • Postural analysis and training

  • Breathing training

  • Body awareness and relaxation

  • Guided exercises for strength, balance, and improved flexibility

  • Education and guidance on skills for reducing pain including self-myofascial release and mobilization techniques

  • Pain neuroscience education (because the more you know and understand about how pain works, the more control you have over your pain)

  • Mind-Body Medicine skills for improved regulation of the nervous system (this is vast, it can include but is not limited to: mediation training/guidance, guided imagery, and yoga instruction)

  • Inspiration to support your physical, emotional, and mental bodies through a challenging time

Telehealth PT sessions support your well-being, improve our economic recovery, and protect public health all at the same time. If you are interested setting up a telehealth appointment, or if you have any questions, reach out to us via email at contact@simonsphysicaltherapy.com or by telephone at 520-514-1114. All calls and emails will be returned within 24-48 business hours.

We realize this situation is taking a toll - individual and shared stress, economic burden, concern for health, and more. Please know that your SPT family is thinking of you and wishing you good health during these difficult days.

Stay home and stay safe,
Your Simons Physical Therapy Team
